Statement of Faith

We are a fellowship of believers gathering weekly within homes, in unification, for edification of the church. We seek to be the church that God intended living out the new covenant by expressing the life of Christ through the power of the Holy Spirit within the church and community. We seek to be led by the Holy Spirit, know Christ, and to love God more every day.

We edify the church, make disciples, equip believers, and preach the Gospel in our communities.

Using the early church model, we meet and desire to have an authentic family relationship and community. One that eats, praises and worships God together, prays for each other, meets each other’s needs (Gal 6:2 “…Bear ye one another’s burdens”), and edifies fellow believers, having open discussions and learning from one another (1 Cor 14:26 “… Let all things be done unto edifying.”). Like the early church, we are led by elders (Tit 1:5 “..ordain elders in every city”) and believe in the principle of restoration of fellow believers.

We believe in the apostle’s creed:
“I believe in God, the Father Almighty, Creator of Heaven and earth; and in Jesus Christ, His only Son Our Lord, Who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried. He descended into Hell; the third day He rose again from the dead; He ascended into Heaven, and sitteth at the right hand of God, the Father almighty; from thence He shall come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Ghost; The Holy catholic Church [collective church throughout all time and places], the Communion of Saints; The Forgiveness of sins; The Resurrection of the body, and the Life everlasting. Amen

Doctrinal Statement

“Bible-centered, Christ-exalting, Spirit-led, gospel-proclaiming.”
We believe these core truths of our faith:

1. The Scriptures
The Bible is the very Word of God, inspired in every part. It is without error as originally written, fully sufficient, and the only reliable guide for life. (Mt. 5:18; Mark l2:26, 36; 13:11; Lk. 24:27, 44; John 5:39; 10:35; 16:13; 17:17; Acts 1:16; 17:23; 18:28; 26:22-23; 28:23; Rom. 15:4; I Cor. 2:13; 10:11; II Tim. 3:16; II Pet 1:21)

2. The Triune God
There is one God who exists forever in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. These three are one, sharing the same nature and worthy of the same love and honor. (Mt. 28:18-19; Mark 12:29; John 1:14; 4:24; 5:26; Acts 5:3-4; II Cor. 13:14; Heb. 1:1-3)

3. Jesus Christ
Jesus Christ, the Son of God and second Person of the Trinity, is both fully God and fully man. He is the eternal Word, born of the Virgin Mary, our Lord, Savior, and Redeemer. (Mt. 1-23; 20:28; Lk. 1:30-35; John 1:1, 14; 3:16; 8:46; Rom. 9:5; Gal. 3:13; Phil. 2:5-8; Col. 2:9; Titus 3:13; Heb. 4:14; 9:24; I John 2:1)

4. The Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit, the third Person of the Trinity, lives in every believer from the moment of salvation. He never leaves God’s people, unites them as one body, restrains evil, and convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment. (John 14:16-17; 16:7-15; Rom. 8:9; I Cor. 6:19; Eph. 2:22; II Thes. 2:7)

5. Humanity
God created man in His image, but through Adam’s sin, humanity became separated from God and spiritually dead. Without God’s saving grace, people are left with a sinful nature and face His judgment. (Gen. 1-26; 2:17; 6:5; Lev. 17:11; Ps. 14:1-3; 51:5; Jer. 17:9; Mt. 19:4; John 3:6; 5:40; 6:35; Rom. 3:10-19, 23; 5:12; 8:6-7; Eph. 2:1-3; 4:18; I Thes. 5:23-24; I Tim. 5:6; I John 3:8)

6. Salvation
Salvation and eternal life come only by God’s grace through faith—not by works. It is a free and permanent gift, made possible through Christ’s death, where He shed His blood as the perfect sacrifice in our place. (John 3:16; 6:28-29; 10:27-30; 14:6; Acts 4:12; 16:30-31; Rom. 3:24; 4:4-5; 6:23; Eph. 1:3; 2:8-9; Phil 3:4; Titus 3:5; James 1:18; I Pet. 1:18-19, 23; II Pet. 1:3)

7. The Christian Life
True salvation results in a life of faith, obedience, and good works. Believers should show the fruit of the Spirit, live in surrender to Christ, and use their gifts to share the gospel with the world. (Mt. 7:16-18; Acts 1:8; John 15:16; Rom. 12:1-2; I Cor. 15:10; II Cor. 5:19; Eph. 2:8-10; Titus 2:14; I John 3:9-11, 4:19)

8. The Church
There is one true Church, the Body and Bride of Christ. Believers are members of this Body and should gather in local churches for worship, prayer, teaching, fellowship, and observing Christ’s ordinances. (Mt. 23:20; Acts 2:47; Eph. 4:4; 5:25-32; I Cor. 11:17-22; I Thess. 4:16-47)

9. The Ordinances
Water baptism by immersion and the Lord’s Supper are the only ordinances given to the church. (Mt. 28:19; Lk. 22:19-20; Acts 10:47-48; 16:32-33; 18:7-8; I Cor. 11:26)

10. The Second Coming
Jesus Christ will return soon in a personal, visible, and glorious way. His coming will bring resurrection, judgment, and His eternal kingdom. For unbelievers, it will mean judgment, but for believers, it is the Blessed Hope we eagerly watch and pray for. (Mark 13:33-37; Lk. 1:32-33; Acts 1:11; I Cor. 3:8-15; 15:24-28; 35-38; II Cor. 5:8; Phil. 3:20; I Thes. 4:16; Titus 2:11-13; Jude 13; Rev. 1:7, 19, 11-16; 20:11-15; 21:8; 22:20)
